With a trailer or without one
A jet ski on its own road-ready trailer can be towed, or the trailer and jet ski can ride together on a carrier. Without a trailer, the jet ski needs a cradle or stand and has to be lifted on and off, so the carrier must bring the right equipment. Tell me which you have, and send a photo.
One jet ski or two
Double trailers are common, and shipping two jet skis on one trailer is one job, not two. Tell me how many are going and whether they share a trailer, so the estimate covers the whole load.
What to send for an estimate
- Year, make and model of each jet ski.
- Trailer: single or double, and whether its tires, lights and bearings are road-ready.
- Length, width and weight of the jet ski on its trailer.
- Pickup and delivery ZIP codes, and whether either end is a marina, dealer or storage unit.
- Your first available pickup date.
Preparing a jet ski for transport
- Flush and drain the engine and the hull, and leave the fuel low.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Strap the cover down tight, or take it off so it cannot tear loose on the highway.
- Remove life jackets, tow ropes, dock lines and anything in the storage compartments.
- Check the trailer tires, bearings, lights and winch strap if the jet ski ships on its trailer.
- Photograph the hull from every side before pickup.
Insurance and the price you pay
Once your final price is confirmed, you receive the driver’s name and phone number, the carrier’s certificate of insurance and its MC and DOT numbers. The price is fixed in writing before pickup; the price guarantee explains what that covers. Larger boats have their own boat transport page.
